Enthusiasm is this week’s virtue.

Enthusiasm is best described as Great excitement for or interest in a subject or cause.  A source or cause of great excitement or interest.  Ecstasy arising from supposed possession by a god.

Every time that I hear this word now, I hear Mark J in my mind- ENTHUUUUUSIAM!  Read your DMPs, BPB, Greatest Salesman, Shapes, Master Key lessons, 7 Laws of the Mind, Law of Giving, Do It Now, I Can Be What I Will To Be, Guy/Girl in the Mirror, and Press Releases with Enthuuuuusiasm!  It always makes me chuckle.

Getting intentional, once again, hundreds of thousands people that I see are enthusiastic.  Granted, many people are still living in the “Covid” fear-based mindset, worried about getting sick, whoa is me, complaining, etc., as that is where they are comfortable, are less enthused, however my focus is on the positive and healthy side of life.  This week, I observed enthusiasm at both dance competitions that I officiated.  One can’t not get enthusiastic at a ballroom dance competition.  If you’ve never been, I highly recommend that you go.  It’s a different world once you walk into the vendor area, pass by the hair and make up room and dressing rooms, dancers, officials, and audience mingling around, staff making everything perfect for a successful event, and hearing the music blaring on the way to the ballroom.  The energy is different and it increases once you enter the ballroom.  Watching the dancers perform their best in sport and art to the thumping bass music, the judges deciding their placements, the audience whooping it up and cheering for their school, family, and friends giving it their all.  Nothing else exists within those doors, except for passion.

I was also enthusiastic about working with a first time client this week and consulting with another that I’ll be working with next week.  Helping people feel and get better naturally always brings enthusiasm to my clients and myself.

I was enthusiastic about visiting a colleague of mine at her workplace at a premier medical and adult use cannabis dispensary.  I was pleasantly surprised as I took the “tour” of the general area of the facility and saw how clean, orderly, compliant, and professional it was.  They are community based and proactive to the positive, wholesome, and healthy/holistic aspects of medical use.  I was enthusiastic about being invited to set up a table to vend and talk about my Reiki and holistic services to those who are looking for supplemental relief of their medical issues.

With March Madness on tap, sports enthusiasts are everywhere.  A collegiate basketball fan, myself, I always get caught up and enthusiastic rooting for my alumna, the UCONN Huskies- both the women’s and men’s teams are on a roll and are expected to continue making waves as they win their way to the top.

What brought enthusiasm into your self and life this week?  What acts of enthusiasm have you witnessed?  Enthusiastically let me know.

I look forward to rolling out my next virtue to you next week.  Until then, be enthusiastic in all that you do.
