This week’s virtue is Well Organized.

The description of (well) organized:

  1. Functioning in an orderly way or according to a plan.
  2. Affiliated in an organization, especially a union.
  3. Having the ability to plan and accomplish things in an orderly fashion.

Unlike some of the other virtues, finding people or things that are well organized aren’t as easy, however, they are out there and recognizable when being intentional.  Some examples that I found this week are my boss/supervisor, the supermarkets that I work in, the new company that I will be working for in March, my wife in regards to her work, the wineries and vineyards that we wine taste at, the dance competitions/organizers that we officiate and work for, my physical therapist and colleague, the organizers of and the networking event that I attended on Tuesday evening, the organizers of The MKE Experience Mastermind, and my friend/colleague/partner Maria Rose.

But, Len, you didn’t mention yourself…  That is true.  I feel that I am organized to a degree, yet, I don’t consider myself well organized.  I always make a list of things to do and will get most done, however, I don’t put daily to-dos down in a scheduler, I just do them when I feel like it.  Events that I go to, like competitions, networking, scheduling my clients’ appointments, etc., I put in a scheduler/calendar and I put detailed efforts into them.  The things that I do on my lists are pretty much in an organized manner.  OK, now I changed my mind, I guess that I am well organized as the others that I mentioned above.  I am a unique creature of well organization.  Do you agree?

Do you consider yourself well organized?  Who do you recognize as well organized?  Did becoming intentional help you find more well organized people, things, places?  I look forward to seeing your thoughts and comments.

See you next week with the next virtue that is waiting on the side lines…
