Last year around this time, I entered into a 21 day challenge reciting positive and inspirational affirmations. receiving one each day. Over the next 21 weeks, we will discuss each one, with the affirmation as the title.
I challenge you, going into the New Year to recite each affirmation daily for the week. The more you repeat with positivity and assurance, the better outcome you will have!
Week 5: “I Embrace My Potential To Be, Do, And Have Whatever I Can Dream”
I want to discuss, in detail, the phrase “I embrace my potential to be, do, and have whatever I can dream”. This phrase is often used as a mantra or affirmation by people who want to achieve their goals and live their best lives. But, what does it really mean? And how can we apply it to our own situations?
First of all, let’s break down the phrase into its components. The word “embrace” means to accept something willingly and enthusiastically. It implies a sense of openness, gratitude, and joy. When we embrace something, we are not resisting or rejecting it, but rather welcoming it into our lives.
The word “potential” means the capacity or possibility to develop or become something. It refers to the latent or hidden talents, skills, and abilities that we have within us, but that may not be fully realized or expressed yet. Potential is not a fixed or static thing, but rather a dynamic and evolving one. It can grow or shrink depending on how we nurture it or neglect it.
The words “to be, do, and have” are the three basic aspects of human experience. They represent the different levels of manifestation that we can achieve in our lives. To be means to exist as a certain kind of person, with a certain identity, personality, and character. To do means to perform certain actions, activities, and tasks that reflect our interests, passions, and values. To have means to possess certain things, such as material goods, relationships, experiences, and achievements.
The word “whatever” means anything or everything that one desires or imagines. It implies a sense of unlimited possibility and freedom. It also implies a sense of responsibility and accountability. When we say whatever, we are not being vague or indifferent, but rather specific and intentional. We are choosing what we want to create in our lives.
The word “can” means to be able or capable of doing something. It indicates a sense of power and confidence. It also indicates a sense of challenge and effort. When we say can, we are not being unrealistic or arrogant, but rather realistic and humble. We are acknowledging our strengths and weaknesses, our opportunities and obstacles.
The word “dream” means to imagine or envision something that is not yet present or real. It implies a sense of creativity and inspiration. It also implies a sense of aspiration and motivation. When we dream, we are not being escapist or delusional, but rather visionary and optimistic. We are setting our goals and intentions for the future.
So, putting it all together, the phrase “I embrace my potential to be, do, and have whatever I can dream” means that I accept myself as I am right now, with all my gifts and flaws, and I also recognize that I have the ability to grow and change into the person I want to be. I act on my passions and values in ways that align with my purpose and vision. I attract and create the things that bring me joy and fulfillment in my life. I imagine the best possible outcomes for myself and others, and I work hard to make them happen.
This phrase is not just a wishful thinking or a positive thinking. It is a powerful statement of self-love, self-respect, self-confidence, self-expression, self-actualization, and self-transcendence. It is a declaration of who we are, what we do, what we have, what we want, what we can do, and what we will do.
How can we use this phrase in our daily lives? Here are some suggestions:
• Repeat it every morning when you wake up and every night before you go to sleep.
• Write it down on a piece of paper or a sticky note and put it somewhere you can see it often.
• Say it out loud or silently whenever you feel doubtful, fearful, anxious, or discouraged.
• Share it with someone you trust or care about who needs some encouragement or support.
• Use it as a guide or a filter for making decisions or taking actions that affect your life.
• Use it as a reminder or a motivator for pursuing your goals or dreams.
By using this phrase regularly and consistently, you will start to notice some positive changes in your mindset, attitude, behavior, results, and happiness. You will feel more empowered, inspired, motivated, focused, determined, and fulfilled. You will become more aware of your potential and more willing to embrace it.
I hope that this has helped you understand the meaning and the power of the phrase “I embrace my potential to be, do, and have whatever I can dream”. I invite you to try it for yourself and see what happens. Remember: You have the potential to be, do, and have whatever you can dream!
Have a Happy & Safe New Year.
See you next year!
