For those who know me or have seen my work, posts, and shares on the business and social sites, my current tagline is Do What You Love- Live Life @ 300%. Using an abundance of Wealth, Health, & Happiness for each at 100%. This is quite achievable even when your ultimate goals of rich and famous have not manifested. It’s all about current state of mind and gratefulness.
Each of the three blog posts, I will bring in personal stories and my thoughts and reasons how this is possible. With hopes that this will inspire you and motivate you to think in a similar viewpoint for a wealthier, healthier, and happier you. It will actually bring you closer to your goals and dreams.
This week, I will focus on the third of the series, Doing What I Love and 100% Happiness.
What defines one’s Happiness? Does one need to have the wealth that they dream of someday having? Does one need to be completely healthy? A combination of both? Sure, that is fine and dandy, but there are many people who have the wealth, and very wealthy, but aren’t happy. There are those who are in top shape healthwise and aren’t happy, either. There are some who have both, the wealth and the health, and aren’t happy… how can that be? What is their mindset? Are they working so hard that they don’t have time to do anything else? Are they enjoying the work that they do? Do they have support from their family and friends? Are they grateful and do they appreciate what they have?
I have not yet reached my ultimate financial goals, not even close, and I am happy. I consider myself to be healthy, but I don’t have the stealth body, that I had in the past, and I am happy. I believe that much of this is mindset. I used to work very hard (in my opinion) at my job(s)- the pay was ok, but should have been making more, it took a toll on my health, and I wasn’t happy. My mindset was negative, I was grumpy, made excuses and played the blame game, day after day… I settled and “played it safe” (as have the 75% of the workforce who dislike or hate their jobs).
How did I get myself out of this funk? Well, I was sick and tired of being sick and tired and I knew that some changes had to be made, so I started making some changes. Slowly and surely- I took steps to become self employed (one of my goals) and I love what I am doing. It didn’t just happen all at once- it took years (and I’m still making changes). I tried different avenues and failed, and that was OK, as they weren’t right for me. I shed some friends (or who I thought were friends of mine), and I made many more friends (who support me and love me for who I am) and continue to do so. I changed my attitude, which directly came from taking Law Of Attraction and related courses- negativity, etc. changed to positivity, appreciation, and gratefulness (again, this didn’t happen over night). I became aware of Reiki and its health benefits- as a client, and now as a Master Teacher and Practitioner. I am grateful and appreciate all that I currently have. I always try to find positive thoughts and outcomes, even when bad things happen. My spirituality increased. I stopped watching and listening to the news reports. I accepted responsibility and decided to live my life my way. I found hobbies and interests that made me happy and feel good, most significantly, the world of Ballroom Dancing. It was always that spark of happiness during the difficult times. Many great things came to me and for me from within the world of dance, including my wife. Some of my other interests include wine tasting, being a foodie, meditating, reading, and travelling.
Where are you on the Happiness scale? What changes, if any, should you make to achieve 100% of Happiness? Are you willing and focused to make these changes?
