knowingyouKnowing you need to make a change isn’t enough.  You’ve got to find the guts to do it… This quip is right up my alley and has called out to me and continues to… and I support this wholeheartedly… it works if you move past your fears and take the steps to go past your comfort zone.  In previous blog posts, I have referred to facing your fears and going outside of your comfort zone.  Same message here.

You may be sick and tired of the stagnation in your life- waking up, going to your  job (that you hate), come home, have dinner, watch TV, then go to bed… and the cycle continues.  You dread Sunday evenings because Monday is the start of a new and long work week and you celebrate Fridays as you walk out of the door for a 2 day break (unless you work on the weekends, too).  If you are self employed/a small business owner, the same can happen to you if you are making the work that you loved when you started, now a chore to make ends meet.  Noticing that the income isn’t as much as it used to be, that your customer and client base has either come to an ebb or is dropping.  Then you start to question if this was the right move for you.

How do you break out of this stagnation?  Decide that you want, not need, to make a change and start working on what needs to be done to solve your issues.  If you are employed FT or PT and not happy with your work situation- work on making a change.  I’m not saying to go and quit your job tomorrow, but during your off hours, do some research, look for other job opportunities that will make you happier and more satisfied.  You also have the option of working for yourself- this can be a timely process, but well worth it in the end.  Making your own economy is the best option, in my opinion.  If you are a small business owner/self employed, look at your goals- personal and business, go back to your mission statement (more than likely, you’ve strayed), make note of the changes over time (and please don’t use “the economy” as an excuse).

I am available to help out in both scenarios.  I’ve been in both situations, so I am coming in experienced and with knowledge.  I am here to help you break out of this rut, to help you improve your work conditions (whether you are in a job or are self employed), to help you improve your lifestyle, and to help you work towards your goals and dreams.  The ball is in your court- do you shoot the ball for the win or do you dribble and pass the ball away?
