Let people do what they need to do to make themselves happy. Mind your own business and do what you need to do to make yourself happy… What I’m getting from this quip is that we need to allow others to let them do what they want to do- letting them live how they choose, especially work related. Our elders and peers seem to “know much about” the career that we choose to pursue to give us their opinion and “why do you want to do that?”, without any real knowledge- just what they’ve heard or their inaccurate opinions. It’s negative thinking and they want you to live by their wants and needs, while your thoughts, goals, and dreams don’t count. It is none of their business. Don’t let them change your mind. They would rather have you get a “real” job, whatever that means. To me, “real” jobs are jobs that one would waste their energy and time to make someone else (your boss/owner of company) rich. Why people head in that direction, besides wanting to stay in their comfort zone and thinking that it is “safe”, baffles me, but then again, do what you want to do if it makes you happy. Again, that is my opinion, but over 70% of people working a job are unhappy- due to work conditions, stress, travelling/stuck in traffic, the morale in the work place, poor health/health conditions, lack of benefits, etc. What you do for work, for social activities, hobbies, or whatever- please, for your sake, love what you are doing and have fun doing it. Don’t give up your goals and dreams for anybody, for any reason, if it means not being happy. Rock what you do!
Now remember, for those telling you what they want to do, their desires, etc.- be supportive of them (unless it is an illegal activity).
Not sure what you want to do? Getting a lot of negative influences? Need help getting inspired and motivated?… I can help you! Find out more about me and my work at: http://www.lmdwealthhealthhappiness.net/about/
