An Infinite Abundance of Wealth, Health and Happiness has the following healthy recommendations for a healthful diet and lifestyle.

Fat Flush Infused Waters

I recommend these Fat Flush Infused Waters that have ingredients and benefits to help with detoxification, energy, and hydration. Put as much fruit in water as you like, chill in the refrigerator, and let the water sit for at least 30 minutes before drinking. The longer it sits, the better it tastes. You can eat them as well but they are intended as detoxifiers and flavoring. Ice can be added. Each can also be made in individual water bottles.

Our healthy recommendations include fat flushed infused water
Feel free to add sliced or grated ginger to any of the waters below. Ginger has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties and may be protective against cancer.

  1. Green tea, mint, lime – for fat burning, digestion, headaches, congestion, and breath freshener.
  2. Strawberry, kiwi – for cardiovascular health, immune system protection, blood sugar regulation, and digestion.
  3. Cucumber, lime, lemon – for water weight management, bloating, appetite control, hydration, and digestion
  4. Lemon, lime, orange – for digestion, vitamin C, immune defense, and heartburn, (Drink this one at room temperature)
  5. Grapefruit, tangerine, cucumber, peppermint leaves – for vitamin C, appetite control, increased insulin sensitivity

… and these Delicious Watermelon Combinations:

Watermelon-Cucumber Juice

Watermelons and cucumbers are in season right now and my family is taking advantage and juicing them as much as we can.  Watermelon-Cucumber is so delicious and refreshing.

Watermelon is very cleansing for the whole body.  It is especially beneficial for the kidneys.  It helps break up kidney stones and helps prevent them from occurring.  Watermelon is full of antioxidants and is high in vitamin A (beta-carotene) and vitamin C.  It is also very hydrating.

Cucumbers are high in vitamin C and antioxidants.  They are also known for having cleansing properties and dissolving kidney stones.  Cucumbers are very hydrating due to their high water content.  When juiced, they have a very mild, sweet flavor, which goes well with almost any juicing combination.

Pretty and pink, this juice has the most beautiful color.  It’s refreshing, hydrating and cleansing.

Watermelon-Cucumber Juice

Equipment

Juicer

Ingredients

  • 4 cups organic watermelon, wash outside rind
  • 4 organic lemon cucumbers or 1 large cucumber, washed

Directions

  1. Prep juicer, watermelon and cucumbers.  Cut watermelon in half, scoop out chunks of watermelon flesh with a spoon (I place the chunks in a 4 cup measuring cup and fill it).  Cut lemon cucumbers in half, then cut into pieces that fit into your juicer.
  2. Juice the cucumbers then watermelon.
  3. Serve immediately, drink as is or pour over a small amount of ice.

Yield:

Makes about 4 cups of juice.

Tip:

I love to fill 2 BPA-free ice cube trays with the juice and freeze it.  When I make smoothies, I pop a few cubes in.  The juice cubes are even great in a glass of water, adds a really nice flavor.  1 cube = 2 tablespoons

{Blended} Watermelon Lemonade

There’s nothing like a glass of fresh, homemade lemonade at the end of a hot summer day.  This version is so refreshing, hydrating and sweetened with honey {no refined sugars here}.  The watermelon adds a delicious sweet flavor and gives the lemonade a beautiful pink hue.

Refreshing, hydrating, cooling, and oh so yummy!

{Blended} Watermelon Lemonade

Equipment

Blender

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup freshly-squeezed organic lemon juice, about 2 lemons
  • 2 cups organic seedless watermelon chunks
  • 3 cups ice cubes (filtered water ice cubes)
  • ¼ cup raw honey, preferably local (I use local raw creamed clover)

Directions

  1. Squeeze the juice of 2 lemons through small fine mesh strainer into blender.
  2. Add watermelon chunks to blender.
  3. Add ice cubes to blender.
  4. Add honey to blender.
  5. Blend on high speed until combined and slushy.  My blender has an “ice crush” function, which is the highest speed; this is what I use to combine. If it’s not combining right away, use low/pulse button a couple of times, or give it a stir with a spoon (turn blender off first if stirring with spoon).  Then increase speed up to high/”ice crush.”
  6. Serve immediately.

Yield

Varies, about 3-4 cups.
