Your desire for success!

In order to succeed, your desire for success should be greater than your fear of failure… or for that matter, ANY fear.  We all have some fears that hold us back- for me, it’s not fear of failure, but a fear for success.  It’s not that I don’t have any goals and dreams, as I am a huge promoter of having goals and dreams, as many of my previous posts are about goal making.  I can’t really put a finger on why, but that is all in the past.  My burning desire for success has allowed me to take steps to wipe that fear out of me.  Yes, I’m on a path to being very, very successful.

Those who have a fear of failure… look on the bright side- having failed at something allows you to try another avenue towards success.  It just means that it is just not right for you or there is a different way of doing right.  It’s not really that bad down there, in short stints, believe me, I’ve been down there, but you don’t want to stay down there.  Gather up some inspiration and motivation and climb out.  Also keep in mind that your worst fears will never, ever come to fruition.

There is fear from breaking out of one’s comfort zone.  Yes, I’ve been there, too.  Being “comfortable” leads to stagnation with a lack for success.  Those who have jobs that they hate, but feel that they are “comfortable and stable” are primarily in this group.  Unfortunately, that path brings success to their bosses and not to themselves.  They do, however, acquire more stress, a negative attitude, poor health, and little to no free time to spend with family and friends.  For those who hate their jobs, please, for your sake, find something that you love to do and work towards it.  You don’t have to do it all at once, just one step at a time.  In the end, you’ll be in a happier and safer place.  Those of us who have our own business, how many are just getting by or losing customers/clients?  It’s time that you start to take steps to bust through that comfort zone towards greater success.  It may be that networking, speaking at events, up your advertising, continuing Ed classes, a retreat, coaching/consultation (see below), or whatever, that you can do to step it up.  Don’t let stagnation get the best of you or your business- you don’t what your work to become a chore, you want to have fun and love what you are doing.
